Poštovní dvůr (Posthof) is one of the most historically significant sites in Karlovy Vary. Surrounded by spa forests, this Neoclassical complex has been a centre of the city's social and cultural life for centuries and is associated with many prominent figures of European history.

Poštovní dvůr is linked to such renowned names as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Niccolò Paganini and Antonín Dvořák. It was here, in 1894, that Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” was performed for the first time on the European continent.

Poštovní dvůr is currently undergoing a gradual restoration, aimed at returning this exceptional place to its original social and cultural significance. Today, the complex is already coming back to life through concerts, cultural and social events, weddings and other special occasions.

Poštovní dvůr also plays an active role in the cultural life of Karlovy Vary and cooperates with major local and international cultural institutions and festivals. It is part of the programme of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF), the VARY°ZÁŘÍ festival and the Karlovy Vary Folklore Festival. It also collaborates with the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and hosts VARIATIONS, a joint project of KVIFF and the Czech Philharmonic.

In the future, visitors can also look forward to a museum exhibition, a café and other parts of the historic complex being gradually opened to the public.

At present, Poštovní dvůr is open to the public primarily during scheduled public events.
