Tips

1. Get discounted tickets when you buy online (CZK 120 online / CZK 200 at the door). You will also avoid queuing at the entrance.
2. Please arrive on time. Admission to the hall closes 2 minutes before the show begins. 
3. A cloakroom will not be available – please keep your belongings with you. Strollers should be left directly outside the entrance to the hall. 
4. Tickets are not assigned to specific seats, so you can choose your seat upon arrival – but don't hesitate for too long. Just take a seat and enjoy the show! 
5. Toilets will be available near the exit from the hall. 

Food and drinks are strictly prohibited inside the hall.

What you will see:
How much of our lives do we still truly control – and how much is already controlled by algorithms? In the Grand Hall of Hotel Thermal, you will experience an audiovisual show combining light, projections and a swarm of synchronised illuminated drones. The audience enters the story of a person surrounded by an endless stream of information, notifications and digital stimuli that gradually take control of their time, emotions and attention. Spa culture has always offered a space for the regeneration of both body and mind; this show brings the same idea into the present day. Disconnect. Stop. And take back control of your time.

Goethe Trail connects the workshop at the Gallery of Art with the video mapping at the Imperial Spa.

A light installation capturing ordinary moments of everyday life – walking, playing, running or a quiet encounter. Luminous silhouettes emerge from the landscape like delicate memories, inviting you to slow down, observe and experience the present moment. The installation transforms the familiar surroundings of Goethe Trail into a space for tranquillity, shared experiences and a fresh perspective on the world around us. The therapeutic landscape of the spa forests and parks encourages visitors to slow down, observe and reconnect with scenes they recognise from their own lives.

What you will see:
A site-specific light show transforms the façade of the Imperial Spa into a cross-section of the living organism of a spa town. In the first half, thermal water rises from the depths of Karlovy Vary's hot spring system — through the eruption of the Hot Spring, the cast-iron colonnade designed by architects Fellner and Helmer, and the hidden labyrinth of pipes that still supplies more than twenty spa facilities today — before reaching the mineral deposits formed by the thermal water, slowly accumulating over time.

What you will see:
Deep beneath Karlovy Vary begins a journey that normally remains hidden from view. Rainwater seeps into the ground, descends deep beneath the surface, heats up and, charged with energy, makes its way back to the surface. At the Castle Tower, this invisible world comes to life through a unique light installation created especially for the VARY°Září festival.

Streams of light creeping across the tower evoke underground springs, the heat of the earth and the greenery to which water gives life. The tower becomes the symbolic heart of the city – a place where water turns into energy and energy into life.

What you will see:
Stone. Colour. Light. Three dancers 🕺 on the terrace of the Mill Colonnade will bring to life the story of how the spa town was created – from the laying of the first stone and the shaping of its façades to the moment when entire streets come alive with light. The movement of the human body merges with a light stage more than forty metres wide and modern digital effects, making the architecture of Karlovy Vary shine in a harmony of colours. For several minutes, the city becomes a living structure shaped by movement, light and time.

What you will see:
A creator arrives in Karlovy Vary. He is searching for the one thing that can neither be forced nor planned – inspiration. In the historic Poštovní dvůr, a traditional meeting place and centre of culture for centuries, four muses in otherworldly costumes gradually appear before him. Through dance, acrobatics, light and music, they guide him towards the moment when emptiness transforms into pure creativity. The entire show comes alive to captivating melodies that evoke the venue's illustrious musical past. As inspiration arrives, Poštovní dvůr itself gradually lights up, becoming a symbol of cultural heritage brought back to life. Because sometimes all it takes is a single idea to light up the whole world.
