Do you know that the Svatošské skály Rocks were declared a nature reserve as early as 1933 and a national natural monument called Jan Svatoš in 2007? The massive granite rocks consist of lots of rock pillars and columns shrouded in numerous legends. One of them has it that they represent a petrified wedding procession - a spurned fairy cursed her lover who had betrayed her and had married another girl. The charming place has inspired a number of artists (J.W. Goethe, V. Mrštík).
This popular place can be found in the valley of the Teplá River near a path running from Karlovy Vary.
