This special episode of the Poetry & Jazz series will feature jazz-influenced poems by Langston Hughes, Kenneth Rexroth, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Josef Hanzlík, Josef Škvorecký, and Jaromír Hořec, among others. The texts and poems will be accompanied by the Milan Krajíc Trio, which brings together longtime collaborators Milan Krajíc and František Nedvěd with the talented young singer Tram Anh Vien.

Greg Coulson is a British singer with a distinctive style, a pianist and Hammond organist, as well as a talented guitarist and composer specializing in rhythm & blues. In his work, he creates a distinctive sound by blending soul, blues, rock, funk, and jazz; his playing and composing reflect the influences of artists such as Steely Dan, Randy Newman, Little Feat, Ray Charles, Booker T., and Dr. John. He performed as the keyboardist for one of England’s most successful ska bands, The Selecter from 2010 to 2015. After leaving the group, he began focusing on his own work, and in 2018 released his critically acclaimed debut album What’s New?. He is currently working on a new album.
