The Karlovy Vary Transport Company continues its Christmas tradition and will once again bring smiles to the faces of many of our little and big passengers across Karlovy Vary with the Christmas bus, the Christmas road train, and the Christmas funicular to Diana.

Advent Rides

From Saturday, November 29, all our Christmas vehicles will once again light up the city. The Christmas atmosphere will be enhanced by thousands of lights, festive interior decorations, and exterior wraps with Christmas themes. 

Together with the Christmas road train, the transport company will once again run several special holiday rides. Starting Saturday, November 29, the festively decorated road train will operate on its usual route through the city centre. 

The train runs through the Teplá River valley from the Main Post Office via Tržnice and Divadelní náměstí to the Richmond Hotel. Since the carriages of our train can be enclosed and heated, passengers can enjoy maximum comfort. The “locomotive” is built on an IVECO chassis and powered by a CNG (compressed natural gas) engine, which ensures very low emissions – ideal for the spa zone.

Additional Information

• Tickets can be purchased from the driver in cash or by card, or via the Vary Virtual app just before boarding the train.
• The train consists of two carriages and can accommodate up to 50–60 passengers. One section is equipped with a folding bench, wider doors, and detachable metal ramps, allowing access for wheelchair users or prams.
• The carriage doors can be securely closed, and all windows, including the front ones, can be opened.
