The annual Opening of the Spa Season (OSS) is an important event. 661 – this is the number of the season which will be opened in Karlovy Vary at the first weekend in May, i.e. from the 4th till the 6th May 2018.
You can look forward to an extensive cultural and social programme. Charles IV, the founder of the town himself, is coming with his suite in “Charles IV procession“, which is a traditional part of the Opening of the Spa Season in Karlovy Vary. Like in previous years, mineral springs will be consecrated so that they can keep restoring the visitors to Karlovy Vary to health.
Parts of the OSS are also the traditional handicraft market, the Porcelain Festival and the Foodfestival.
