Sleeping beauty

Sleeping Beauty, a story from the large fairytale collection of the Grimm brothers Kinder-und Hausmärchen (1812-15), was introduced to the ballet scene by Petr Iljič Čajkovskij. Even today, his music from Sleeping Beauty (1888/9) inspires large-scene choreographers to develop a broad spectre of dancing figures of the classical ballet art, which keeps finding new admirers. This gives rise to a performance, which is bound both to surprise and fulfil expectations.
