Císař band

A jazz and blues quartet made up of outstanding musicians, fronted by charismatic singer and double bass player Jan Císař. With its roots in blues music, the band plays a repertoire of classics (Ray Charles, Willie Dixon, Charles Brown, and others), but also performs original songs. The band’s sound is characterised by the Fender Rhodes piano of Jan Aschenbrenner, together with Karel Bečvář on several types of saxophone, and the driving force of the band, Jan Prchal on the drums.
